Women Protests Around America

http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/21/politics/trump-women-march-on-washington/

In this article, the author discusses the masses of people protesting in favor of women's rights and against of Trump's view on women. Men and women from all of over the nation came to protest in opposition of the values that Trump apparently stands for. Some marches were held in Sydney, Berlin, London, Paris, Nairobi, Cape Town, Mexico City, and even in Antartica. The author then says that Australia had its first major international march with an estimate of 5,000 people in attendance. At the same time, a group of 30 trump supporters held a rally in Sydney. Some signs said "Women Deserve FUNdamental rights" and "Women's rights are Human rights". This article clearly explained why and what the purpose was for these masses of protests all over America.
In AP Government, we have discussed the Culture War which definitely pertains to this article. In class, we discussed that the culture clash in America is a batter over values. These protests are simply in reaction to women not having the same values as men or even the feeling of no value at all. We also discussed in class that culture conflict is animated by deep differences in people's beliefs about morality. Some women believe that they have the same amount of value as men and some believe that they do not. The conflict is originated by people's beliefs and their thoughts on the subject. There will always be more than one side on every argument or topic.
I am in favor of women marching for their rights. I feel that women definitely do not have the same values as men, and if that means to protest for their rights then I am on their side. Women feel the need that they need to put their full efforts in fighting for their rights. Although I am in favor of the marches, I do not feel that President Trump has values that are not in favor of women. He has not been president for long and I feel that it is too early to decide his views on women.
